Return Policy

  1. PRODUCT RETURN: Customer must obtain authorization for any product return.
  2. UNAUTHORIZED RETURNS: Return shipments without authorization are not accepted. There are no exceptions.
  3. PRODUCT DISPOSITION: Authorized returns of material must be returned undamaged and uncontaminated in its original container.
  4. DAMAGE IN SHIPMENT: Customer must initiate the claim with the freight company.
  5. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS: “Custom” or “Experimental” products are non-returnable unless advised in writing otherwise. All orders for “Custom” or “Experimental” purposes are final. Once an order for Custom or EXP goods is placed, the customer is liable to take the final good once production of the final good has begun. If no specifications are provided by the customer for any Custom/EXP good and it does not meet customer’s requirements, a return for the goods will not be permissible. Custom/EXP goods are made to order and cannot be resold to another customer. [Custom materials are classified as any non-standard product (regardless if it may have a part number), coloring, size, formulation, specification, and/or packaging that cannot be resold to another Applied Silicone customer. ]
  6. SPECIFICATIONS: If no specifications are provided by the customer for any standard product, Applied Silicone’s specifications apply by default. If material does not meet the customer’s “unknown” requirements, a return for the goods may not be permissible. References made to Specifications, Revisions, and/or Purchase Orders referencing specifications are not considered “Accepted” until the appropriate Applied Silicone Quality/Regulatory Department accepts the specification/revision. Customers are notified in writing if Applied Silicone takes exception to any customer specifications.
  7. RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES: Responsibility of the shipping charges is dependent upon the nature of return/complaint.
  8. RETURN CREDIT: Obtaining a return authorization does not in itself warrant full credit.
    1. Credit disposition depends on the results of the examination of returned goods. (Ref. 10, Return Inspection)
    2. Customer Service is responsible for credit disposition.
  9. RETURN INSPECTION:
    1. Standard Products:
      1. If material is found to be within Applied Silicone’s specification upon examination, the customer is eligible for credit towards original material costs, less shipping charges and subject to a 25% restocking fee.
      2. If material returned is not found to be within Applied Silicone’s specifications, Applied Silicone will issue a credit for material plus shipping expenses. The restocking fee is then waived.
    2. “Custom” or “Experimental” Products:
      1. If material is found to be within Applied Silicone’s specification upon examination, the customer is liable for full payment of the product. The product is not eligible for credit.
      2. If material returned is not found to be within Applied Silicone’s specifications, Applied Silicone will either replace the product or issue a credit for material plus shipping expenses dependent upon the nature of the product.
  10. REPLACEMENT OF PRODUCT: Dependent upon the nature of the problem, replacement may be requested within the shelf life/retest date of the material, not to exceed six months from date of shipment. Reference lot certification or data sheet for shelf life information. Freight charges may be applicable (Ref. 10, Return Inspection).
  11. REFUNDS: Applied Silicone does NOT issue refunds for any products.
  12. Applied Silicone reserves the right to reject any returned goods shipments. Applied Silicone accepts no liability except for replacement of material shown to not meet specifications, etc.
