PN: 40097 RTV Silicone Lubricant Dispersion in Naphtha and Isopropanol 1 Pint
Description
1 Pint. Applied Silicone Medical Grade RTV Silicone Lubricant Dispersion is a solution containing 30 percent active silicone ingredients in mixed aliphatic and isopropanol solvents. It was designed as a substitute for Dow Conring MDX4-41459. The active silicone is an aminofunctional dimethylsiloxane copolymer. The polar nature of the aminofunctional group and the air cure of the silicone cuases thin films to deposit and adhere to metal and plastics for lubricity on surfaces. The dispersion can be easily applied from dilute solvent solutions and cures on air expousre at room temperatures to an invisible coating.
RTV Silicone Lubricant Dispersion is supplied as a one component system and is an excellent lubricant for cutting edges. It can also be used on razor blades, scalpels, hyodermic needles and other applications where a partially cured cohesive silicone coating is required. For most applications, the resultant coating sis more durable than simple polydimethylsiloxane.
